From
the Artistic Director
It is our pleasure and honor to invite you to experience the glorious
Joy of Music with us this year. Our opening Gala will present the
Positive Vibrations Youth Steel Orchestra from the greater Washington, D.C.
area at the United Methodist Church here in Palm Coast. This concert
will highlight the fabulous rhythms of the Caribbean, showcasing some of
America's mos talented young musicians.
Before you can settle down, you will be invited to hear
one of America's most outstanding concert pianists - Andrew Armstrong!
This concert will mark the second appearance of this Van Cliburn contest
winner on our stage.
The newly initiated Palm Coast Youth Music Festival
will return featuring young promising vocalists, instrumentalists and
dancers.
Our Festival of Music in Our Churches Today will
also return offering a broad program of new ideas in church music performed
locally.
This year's exciting schedule reminds us that, although we
have come a very long way from our initial concert series in 1999, the Palm
Coast United Methodist Concert Series continues to bring the Joy of Music to
our community.

From the Senior Pastor
Praise
God in his holy house of worship,
praise him under the open skies;
Praise with a blast on the trumpet,
praise by strumming soft strings;
Praise him with castanets and dance,
praise him with banjo and flute;
Praise him with cymbals and a big bass drum,
praise him with fiddles and mandolin.
Let every living, breathing creature praise GOD!
Hallelujah! (PS 100)
Our Concert Series is an outreach ministry that we dedicate
to the community, and is our way of praising
and glorifying God. These programs of sacred, classical, and popular
music, along with the work of featured
visual artists, offer enjoyment, education and personal enrichment. We
are committed to continue using the
gift of music to bring joy to your heart as well as inspiration to your
soul. Enjoy and God Bless.
Scott Farman
Senior Pastor
