From the Artistic Director

Our United Methodist Concert Series is proud to announce the establishment of scholarships, one in Music and one in Fine Arts to Flagler County students for the 2010 – 2011 school year. The students may be 2010 high school graduates or someone who has begun matriculation. The establishment of this scholarship fund will begin with monies received at our Gala Concert. For more information about the scholarship, call 386-445-2098 or 386-445-1600 or e-mail wbeck3@cfl.rr.com . Our recently initiated Palm Coast Youth Music Festival will return this year presenting some of our most gifted young artists: the Flagler Youth Orchestra and talented Young Piano Artists. The Jacksonville Harmony Show Chorus will return this year with an enthusiastic fun-filled program for our entertainment. The Music Ministry groups of Palm Coast United Methodist Church will present a Christmas Concert and a Spring Concert as well as Advent and Lenten Meditations and Mini-Concerts. This year’s exciting schedule reminds us that, although we have come a very long way from our initial concert series in 1999, the Palm Coast United Methodist Concert Series continues to bring the Joy of Music to our community.

PALM COAST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH CONCERT SERIES
2010 SEASON

Planned Spring Concert has been cancelled

FUND RAISER DINNER DANCE SATURDAY, MAY 22, 2010  5:00 PM DONATION TICKET - $35

Perhaps you were with us last year when we sailed on the “S.S. Wherever” and visited several islands without ever leaving Palm Coast. If so, then you remember the great time we had exploring each island, enjoying good food and shopping in the ships Boutique.  This year the concert series will present “Swing Time Through The Holidays” at the Italian American Social Club on Saturday, May 22, 2010. Join us for an evening of dining and dancing.  Music will be provided by “Gil Surette and The Boston Connection”.  Put on your dancing shoes, and grab your special someone and come have an evening of fun.  Donation tickets  will be available in the church office beginning April 1st for $35.  You may call Norma Salt at (386) 437-1225 to reserve your seat or a table for six or eight.

This is the major fund raising event for the 2009-2010 concert season and will help to cover the expenses of concert fees and operation expenses.

From the Senior Pastor

Praise God in his holy house of worship, praise him under the open skies; Praise with a blast on the trumpet, praise by strumming soft strings; Praise him with castanets and dance, praise him with banjo and flute; Praise him with cymbals and a big bass drum, praise him with fiddles and mandolin. Let every living, breathing creature praise GOD!  Hallelujah! (Ps. 100)

We offer the Concert Series to the community as our way of praising
and glorifying God. These programs of sacred, classical and popular
music, along with the work of featured visual artists, offer enjoyment,
education and personal enrichment. May this bring joy to your heart as
well as inspiration to your soul. Enjoy and God Bless.
