Our Palm Coast Concert Series celebrates its ninth season this year.  Classical composer Felix Mendelssohn said it best, “Though all else may appear shallow and repulsive, even the smallest task in music is so absorbing, and carries us so far away from town, country, earth, and all worldly things, it truly is a blessed gift of God.”

     This year’s exciting schedule reminds us that, although we have come a very long way from our initial concert series in 1999, the Palm Coast Concert Series continues to bring the Joy of Music to our community.

Jesse Chapman
Artistic Director

     Jesse Chapman, director of music and fine arts at PCUMC, founded the concert series in 1999.  His career as pianist, high school and college educator, church organist, choir director, private teacher, and guest conductor has been marked with a high degree of distinction.  His many awards and citations include a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in the Arts’ from the State of Connecticut.  He resides in Palm Coast with his wife Betty.

 The language of music has always been an ambassador to the world.  Ever since the beginning of humanity, we have turned to music to help communicate our souls’ deepest thoughts.  We are gratified with the reputation of our Concert Series for speaking the language of high quality, affordable musical programs. 

Our Concert Series is an outreach ministry that we dedicate to the community, and is our way of praising and glorifying God.  These programs of sacred, classical, and popular music, along with the work of featured visual artists, offer enjoyment, education, and personal enrichment.  We are committed to continue using the gift of music to bring joy to your heart as well as inspiration to your soul.  Enjoy and God bless.
